Job description

This is an amazing role for an ambitious Head of Finance who leads by example and strives to excel in a high-profile division based in Central London.

The role:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Provide strategic financial insight to support decision-making and long-term planning
  • Lead on monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including management accounts
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and banks
  • Manage project accounting, ensuring alignment with architectural fee structures and timelines
  • Develop and refine internal systems and controls to improve efficiency and compliance
  • Oversee payroll, invoicing, VAT, and tax matters
  • Support business development with financial modelling and scenario planning
  • Manage and mentor a small finance/admin team

Background of candidate:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role (preferably in architecture, design, or a creative/consulting industry)
  • Strong knowledge of project-based accounting and fee structures
  • Commercially astute with excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working in an SME or growing business environment
