Overview

We are looking for either an established Head of Department seeking a move to a centre of excellence or an experienced teacher ready to take on a leadership role in a renowned department. Experience of traditional workshop skills and CAD/CAM are essential as is knowledge of other areas within the subject, such as electronics and robotics.

About the role and department

The department enjoys state-of-the-art facilities in a purpose-built Design Centre and a generous budget that facilitates ambitious and engaging projects that are at the forefront of Design, Engineering & Technology education nationally. A supportive SLT and a prominent position in the school demonstrate the high regard the subject is held in across our school community. The successful candidate should have the ability to inspire both staff and pupils, whilst also being approachable, compassionate, and caring. Good communication and the ability to work within and lead a team will be essential.
