Head of Commercial - Hazardous Waste Management

Salary: up to 65,000 (DOE) + Car + Commission

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - Manage your own diary and work week

Location: England/UK Wide - Hybrid-Remote

Are you a strategic, commercially driven leader with a strong track record in sales and business growth within the UK Hazardous Waste or Total Waste Management sector?

My client is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial to drive national commercial strategy, lead high‑performing teams, and shape the future direction of the business. This role offers UK‑wide flexibility, with the ability to travel to regional sites and customers as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the company's commercial strategy, driving national growth across hazardous waste collections, treatment services, and wider recycling opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high service standards and supporting long‑term commercial success.
  • Oversee and support the commercial and sales teams, providing leadership, guidance, and direction to maximise performance and profitability.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, managing high‑value pipelines and ensuring commercially sound contracts and proposals.
  • Represent and promote the business across the UK, acting as a senior ambassador at client meetings, industry events, and internal forums.
Requirements
  • Waste Management Sales / Business Development / Commercial Experience.
  • Leadership Experience.
  • Experience working for a Hazardous Waste Management company.
  • Ability to bring business would be advantageous.
  • Hold a full, clean, UK driving licence.
  • Ability to commute between company sites across the UK.
