Shape the future of Intercity’s commercial strategy.

We’re looking for a strategic, commercially sharp leader to join us as Head of Commercial. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead our commercial, contracts, and vendor management teams driving value, mitigating risk, and ensuring strong commercial governance across the organisation.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll influence decisions at the highest level, optimise supplier and partner relationships, and manage our cost base to support growth and profitability.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead commercial strategy to deliver revenue growth, margin improvement, and long‑term sustainability.
  • Own and optimise the company’s cost base for maximum efficiency and value.
  • Drive supplier and vendor strategy, managing key relationships and negotiating robust agreements.
  • Ensure contract governance and risk management across suppliers and customers.
  • Provide commercial insight to bids, proposals, and service development.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity to strengthen strategy.
What we’re looking for:
  • Senior commercial leadership experience in technology, telecoms, cloud or MSP sectors.
  • Expertise in contract governance, supplier management, and vendor negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of commercial economics, cost efficiency, and supplier ROI.
  • Experience with ISO‑aligned processes (ISO 9001, ISO 27001); TISAX familiarity is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
  • Strategic, resilient, and relationship‑focused with a proactive mindset.
Qualifications:
  • Degree‑level education (or equivalent experience).
  • Procurement or supply chain qualifications (e.g., CIPS) advantageous.
