We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Engineer to join Dorset County Hospital in the role of Head of Service and Medical Devices Manager in our Clinical Engineering Department within the Healthcare Technology Group.
You will have extensive experience of medical device management to be head of the Clinical Engineering team, to provide a strategic lead to the Trust for the medical device replacement programme, and to shape the future direction of the Clinical Engineering department.
The Clinical Engineering service is being developed to meet the evolving demands of modern medical device technology in the hospital environment, together with the imminent expansion of services at Dorset County Hospital through the New Hospital Project (NHP) programme of works, and the forging of closer links with our colleagues in Clinical Engineering at University Hospitals Dorset and Dorset Healthcare Trusts. This role is pivotal to the success of those developments and as such there is potential for in-post career progression.
The successful applicant will also have significant experience in change management and the implementation of accreditation of Clinical Engineering to the ISO13485, ISO9001, or other appropriate Standard.
