Job summary

A historic organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head Gardener to maintain, develop, and enhance its beautiful grounds and gardens. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a medium-sized estate and a horticultural qualification such as RHS Level 2 or equivalent. Job description

We are looking for a Head Gardener who can maintain, develop and enhance the grounds and gardens surrounding Southwell Minster. We have a large estate of well‑established and historic gardens. The role requires hands on gardening and grounds maintenance activities and also planning for creatively enhancing our shrubberies, planting beds and wildlife areas.

You will work with our Grounds Volunteers to ensure the best presentation and maintenance, keeping areas tidy, weed and leaf free and suitably attractively planted.

You will have experience in maintaining a medium sized estate, with a variety of planting and you will have a horticultural qualification eg RHS Level 23 or equivalent experience. You will be a confident communicator and able to work closely with the Minster community to make the gardens an integral part of our excellent visitor experience.
