Overview

Head Dental Nurse (Maternity Cover) - Morden

Contract: Maternity cover until July 2026

Location: Morden

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (with 1-2 Saturdays per month desirable but not essential)

Salary: £15-£17 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Dental Nurse to provide maternity leave cover at our well-established dental practice in Morden. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role within a supportive, patient-focused team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and mentor the nursing team
  • Ensure the highest standards of cross-infection control and compliance are maintained
  • Oversee stock control and the organisation of surgery equipment and materials
  • Support clinicians in delivering excellent standards of patient care
  • Coordinate with the practice management team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain accurate records in line with CQC and GDC requirements
About You
  • A GDC-registered Dental Nurse
  • Experienced in a senior or head nurse role
  • Organised, efficient, and reliable with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledgeable in compliance, infection control, and CQC requirements
  • A positive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
