The Opportunity

Mere Court Hotel & Conference Centre is a prestigious 4-star country house hotel nestled in the heart of Cheshire surrounded by landscaped gardens and elegant event spaces. Renowned for its weddings private dining and à la carte restaurant the hotel is now seeking a talented and motivated Head Chef to lead the kitchen through its next exciting chapter.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a chef who thrives on both creative freedom and operational leadership balancing quality consistency and innovation across multiple dining experiences.

The Role

As Head Chef youll take full ownership of kitchen operations ensuring excellence across all food outlets from banqueting and weddings to restaurant dining and private events. Youll lead by example inspiring your team to deliver fresh seasonal dishes and memorable dining experiences.

  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with a hands‑on approach
  • Commercially astute with experience in budgeting and cost management
  • Calm and composed under pressure with an eye for detail and a drive for excellence
