Head Chef

Location: Bradford, BD4 6SE

Contract: Permanent/37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 06:00-14:30

Rate of Pay: £14 per hour

Sodexo are looking for a talented Head Chef to join our team in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to lead our kitchen operations, inspire the team, and deliver an exceptional dining experience.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth, efficient workflows.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality, with strict attention to portion control, presentation, and allergen compliance.
  • Monitor stock levels, control costs, and minimise waste.
  • Uphold and enforce food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards at all times.
  • Support the Catering & Events Manager in achieving financial and service delivery targets.
  • To ensure that all statutory regulations and company policy are adhered to.
About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Professional culinary training (City & Guilds Level 3/NVQ equivalent desirable).
  • Food Safety Level 3 and strong knowledge of HACCP and allergen management.
  • Experience leading a team in a high-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire and mentor others.
  • Stamina and resilience to thrive in a demanding service environment.
