A leading health organization in Wrexham is seeking a passionate Staff Nurse to support patients undergoing dialysis. In this fixed-term role, you’ll provide high-quality nursing care, work within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of renal nursing practices. This position requires NMC registration and a desire to develop skills in renal care. Competitive salary of £31,516 to £38,364 per annum is offered, pro rata.
This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
The Renal Unit is a diverse department, caring for patients with Renal Failure from the pre-dialysis, to maintenance dialysis, conservative management, end of life care and supporting patients through transplantation. The department also provides support to patients whom develop acute renal failure. The role of the staff nurse within the department is diverse and you will be afforded the opportunity to care for patients undergoing dialysis, on the dialysis unit, on our renal ward and within the critical care setting.
The approach for caring for patients undergoing dialysis is truly multidisciplinary, you will be working closely with doctors, specialist nurses, dieticians, social worker, psychologist and the pharmacy department to deliver a high quality continuous care to the patients within the department.
We are currently providing dialysis to 67 haemodialysis patients, the department is open Mon, Wed & Frid 6.30am to Midnight & Tuesday, Thurs and Sat 6.30am to 7pm, you will be required to support the service during this period, and also support our on call service which is operational over night and on weekends. In addition to this the department has a strong practice development focus, we are keen to support our staff with educational development, this is supported by our practice development nurse.
