You will undertake an extensive induction and training programme and receive ongoing development to support you in your role and achieving your career ambitions.This role provides an excellent level of experience at the outset of your career. The role is a great opportunity for anyone with a customer service or administrative background.You will come into contact with staff who have a vast range of experience both in the Clinical field and the Administrative field.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will be required to:Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics (H&I) Department to facilitate the timely provision of H&I diagnostic services ensuring procedures in relation to donors and patients are carried out to the highest possible standard.Work as an active team member assisting with a comprehensive range of administrative duties/procedures as dictated by the workload of the Department.Communicate with the general public, other NHSBT departments and external contacts as required.Maintain strict confidentiality at all times and ensure that information relating to patients and donors is kept in a manner in accordance with NHSBT policies & proceduresUndertake data entry ensuring all records are up to date and accurateReceive and make telephone callsOccasionally deal with queries and requests for information from members of the publicUndertake routine correspondenceMaintain manual and electronic filing systemsUndertake general office duties for example photocopying and scanning documents, minute taking.
