A leading consulting firm seeks a VAT Consultant to manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with EU and UK VAT regulations. The role focuses on building strong relationships with clients and delivering value through expert VAT knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Candidates should have relevant VAT experience and be part-qualified or fully qualified accountants, proficient in ERP systems and Excel.
Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM's current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking for a new challenge to own a portfolio of clients and work in a growing, sector focussed team in a mid-tier firm.
Your role will be largely client facing and you will be the main point of contact for each client, acting as their conduit to the wider RSM service offering.
Over time your portfolio will grow as new clients are won and transitioned on board. Your involvement in the initial client take on process and assisting with the transition of new jobs will provide you with a detailed knowledge of the client from the outset of the relationship.
As your relationship with our clients develops having an analytical mind and close attention to detail will be key when liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the business, interpreting regular financial information and providing analysis and explanations for variances.
Your contribution will be key to the delivery of profitable work across the portfolio with the support from relevant Outsourcing Managers.
