Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve are looking an individual to join our Night Guest Services & Security Operations Department. The role will see you working between the hours of 10pm-8am in picturesque, historic surroundings.

Reporting to the Front of House Manager, the successful candidate will ensure that Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve’s estate, accommodation areas, animal enclosures and offices remain safe and secure overnight. Responsibilities will also include acting as the night PR cover, interacting with and supporting our overnight guests’ enquiries and requests, as well as supporting the Guest Services & Park Operations Departments when required.

Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally hold a recognised qualification or have previous experience in a security operative or night porter role. They should be able to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate a customer-focused approach, with strong interpersonal skills and confidence when communicating with guests and staff. A good working knowledge of GDPR, CCTV legislation, Health and Safety, and Fire Safety regulations is essential. The candidate should adhere to safe working practices and systems, and be confident in using common IT hardware and software, particularly MS Office 365 and CCTV systems. A full, valid UK driving licence (manual gearbox) covering categories B, BE, and B1 is required.

Contract Details

The successful candidate will work 37 hours across four-night shifts, on a four-on, four-off shift pattern, between the hours of 22:00 and 08:00. The salary for this position is £24,285.00 per annum. This can include weekends and bank holidays. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location.
