Overview

Group Web Team Manager – We’re looking for a Group Web Team Manager to Lead PIB’s centralised web function, overseeing a large multi brand estate of more than 100 websites across Europe. This role will deliver the Web Team strategy and roadmap aligned to marketing, digital, and IT strategies.

This is an exciting opportunity being a key representative and conduit to the businesses marketing teams, and other technical functions across the PIB Group, offering a salary of up to £60,000 DOE.

Responsibilities
  • The confidence and experience to set and deliver a web team strategy, leading operations across multiple brands and platforms
  • Hands on experience with WordPress, WP Engine, and Sitecore
  • A collaborative mindset, working closely with marketing, IT and business teams to deliver seamless digital experiences
  • Practical knowledge of modern web stacks, analytical tools, and accessibility standards
  • A strong awareness of governance and compliance (GDPR, cookie consent, security best practices, etc)
  • The ability to manage vendors, contracts, and budgets
  • A passion for people – building, coaching, and inspiring high-performing teams, while promoting self-service and empowering business units
  • Clear and confident stakeholder communication, ensuring alignment and visibility
Ideally, but not essential, you’ll also have
  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and relevant certifications
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as insurance or financial services
  • Exposure to large-scale digital integrations or platform consolidation projects
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working (Scrum) and tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines for web platforms
  • Experience working with internation or multilingual teams
