You will lead the design and delivery of high-impact, insight-driven campaigns that promote Connells Group's strategic priorities, enhance our influence with policymakers and stakeholders, and strengthen our reputation as a trusted industry leader.

Acting as the strategic connector between internal teams and external audiences, you'll help shape how Connells Group engages with government, regulators, and industry bodies to drive meaningful policy outcomes.

Your key Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and implementation of Connells Group's public affairs strategy, ensuring alignment with the Group's commercial and reputational objectives.
  • Provide timely analysis and strategic advice on political, legislative, and regulatory developments impacting the housing and financial services sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with policymakers, parliamentarians, government officials, trade associations, and think tanks to enhance the Group's profile and influence.
  • Support senior leadership engagement in external policy dialogues, select committees, consultations, and industry forums.
  • Coordinate the Group's policy positioning and responses to government consultations, ensuring consistency and clarity of message.
  • Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of public affairs and advocacy campaigns that promote Connells Group's perspective on key issues and demonstrate thought leadership in housing and property.
  • Translate policy insight into compelling campaign narratives that mobilise internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with public affairs and communications agencies, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality outputs.
  • Work cross-functionally with PR, Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, Legal, Risk, and divisional teams to ensure unified messaging and policy alignment.
  • Support the Head of Communications and Executive Team in preparing for stakeholder engagements, briefings, and media opportunities.
  • Embed public affairs awareness across the business, driving internal understanding of the political and regulatory environment.
  • Develop and oversee performance metrics, evaluation frameworks, and reporting tools to demonstrate impact and inform continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the Executive Team on policy risks, opportunities, and stakeholder perceptions.
