Job summary

A progressive veterinary service provider in West Wales is looking for a Group Farm Practice Manager to lead a new farm veterinary service. A Leadership Role That Will Shape the Future of Farm Veterinary Care in West Wales

As we unite three well-established, highly respected large animal practices - The Oak, Priory Vets and Steffan Vets - we are creating a new, modern, forward-thinking farm veterinary service. To lead it, we’re looking for a Group Farm Practice Manager to unify teams, streamline ways of working, champion high standards of service, and build strong relationships with our farming communities. You will work closely with the Area Director and Clinical Director(s) to ensure operational excellence and a positive, high-performing culture.

This is a growth, innovation and change-driven role. It’s a rare opportunity to build something lasting, for our teams, our farmers and the future of farm veterinary care in West Wales.

This is a full time role, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and unify teams across three sites, ensuring strong communication, collaboration and staff wellbeing.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and development of non-clinical teams.
Client & Community Engagement
  • Act as the visible lead for the farm service across West Wales.
  • Build relationships with farmers, suppliers and partners, and support client events and community engagement.
Commercial & Operational Management
  • Manage all non-clinical operations, including P&L oversight, cost control, invoicing and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance, and oversee stock, equipment, fleet and premises.
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives.
Service Quality & Delivery
  • Standardise processes and service levels across sites.
  • Ensure effective scheduling and OOH coordination.
  • Monitor performance and client feedback to drive improvement.
Strategic Collaboration
  • Work with senior leadership to shape long-term direction and deliver change initiatives.
  • Help build a modern, resilient and competitive farm service.

  • A self-starter who enjoys autonomy and responsibility
  • Experience in veterinary, agricultural, rural business or large‑team leadership is beneficial but not essential.
