Group Financial Manager - Watford | £75,000 + up to 20% bonus | 2-4 years PQE

  • Group Consolidations & Management:
    • Lead complex group consolidation processes across multiple subsidiaries
    • Oversee intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments
    • Manage comprehensive group management accounts within tight deadlines
    • Handle foreign currency translations and consolidation complexities
    • Supervise junior team members in consolidation activities
  • Statutory Compliance & Coordination:
    • Oversee statutory accounts preparation for multiple group entities
    • Ensure full compliance with Companies House filing requirements across the group
    • Lead coordination with external auditors across group companies
    • Manage statutory reporting timelines and deliverables across complex group structures
  • Financial Leadership & Analysis:
    • Produce high-quality management reporting packs for board and senior stakeholders
    • Lead development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models and analysis
    • Oversee month-end close processes across the group
    • Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
  • Technical Oversight & Control:
    • Manage complex accounting treatments including provisions, accruals, and deferrals
    • Oversee fixed asset registers and depreciation calculations across entities
    • Review journal postings and maintain robust month-end controls
    • Lead technical accounting research and provide guidance to team members
I need candidates with:
  • Essential Qualifications:
  • ACA qualified professionals seeking their second move from practice (Big 4/Top 10 preferred), OR
  • ACCA qualified with demonstrable experience in large corporate or group environments
  • Technical Experience (2-4 years PQE):
  • Strong group consolidation experience with some leadership exposure
  • Statutory accounts preparation across multiple entities
  • Complex multi-entity accounting environments
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with consolidation software
  • Experience managing audit processes and external auditor relationships
  • Leadership Attributes:
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff members
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results through others
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ambitious and eager to progress in a group environment
