Grants and Membership Administrator (Tameside)
The role

This role will support our strategic ambition to grow and transform as a local funder. You will support the awarding of grants to community groups and projects, making sure our funding gets where it’s needed most, in line with our commitments to the IVAR principles of open and trusting grantmaking. You will connect with our Community Development team to make sure grant applicants are offered the support they need to develop, bid, deliver and evaluate their projects. You will also offer a welcoming and professional first point of contact for our new members and work with our Operations Manager to maximise the engagement of our membership. You will also support with other administrative tasks to support the Tameside management team.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who…

Has excellent organisation skills and attention to detail, with a good understanding of the VCFSE sector and grant investments, who is passionate about Tameside’s communities and is committed to social justice.

The ideal candidate should be:
  • Able to work proactively and independently.
  • Able to communicate clearly and accurately in writing.
  • Able to communicate professionally in person and over the phone.
  • Able to use Microsoft Excel/Word and Powerpoint to a good standard.
  • Able to use systems to keep accurate records e.g. membership records, grant information, using a database.
  • Experienced at organising meetings and events.

Salary: £28,598-£31,537 per annum

NJC: Grade 5 SP 12-18

Hours: 36 per week (Monday to Friday with some evening and weekend work as required)

Length of contract: Permanent (subject to funding)

Location: Tameside/hybrid
