An insurance group in London is seeking graduates for their Underwriting Portfolio Management programme. This 24-month rotational programme offers hands-on experience in UW Strategy, Performance, Governance, and Operational Change, where you will develop crucial skills and advance your career in underwriting. Candidates should have a minimum 2.2 degree, excellent analytical skills, and an unrestricted right to work in the UK. The programme provides robust training and the opportunity to secure a permanent position afterward.
Underwriting Portfolio Management graduate programme
The Underwriting Strategy and Central Portfolio Management team works at the heart of the business, within underwriting, aiming to develop and implement an Underwriting Strategy that aligns with the Group Strategy, underpinned by a robust Portfolio Management and Underwriting Oversight Framework.
The team reports into the Chief Underwriting Officer and works closely with the Underwriting teams. The team has four main workstreams: Underwriting (UW) Strategy, Portfolio Management, Governance Framework and Underwriting Operational Change. This role will provide the opportunity to extensively work with underwriting teams and other key stakeholders across the business to deliver the team’s objectives.

Distribution: In addition to the above, you will also have the opportunity to work with the Distribution team, whose objective is to have a clear broker and client engagement strategy.
The combination of this experience, along with the training and support we offer, will enable you to accelerate your career and develop into a well‑rounded Underwriting portfolio Management professional.
