Graduate Teaching Assistant for Primary Schools in Hillingdon

£90 to £105 per day | Full time | Immediate start | Ideal for future teachers

Are you a recent graduate who is passionate about education and looking to gain hands on experience in a primary school? I am working with several excellent schools across Hillingdon who are looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS KS1 and KS2.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is considering a future in teaching SEN support educational psychology or child development and wants real classroom experience before taking the next step.

About the role
  • Supporting pupils in class across a range of year groups
  • Working one to one or in small groups to boost reading, writing, maths and confidence
  • Assisting pupils with SEND including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH
  • Helping teachers with classroom routines, resources and behaviour support
  • Encouraging positive learning attitudes, motivation and independence
  • Taking part in phonics early reading practice and small learning interventions
What I am looking for
  • A graduate with a degree in education, psychology, English, maths, science, social sciences or a related field
  • Someone enthusiastic, proactive and willing to learn
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children
  • A calm, patient and supportive approach especially with SEND pupils
  • A real interest in teaching or working with children long term
  • Any previous experience with children tutoring, mentoring, coaching or school work is a bonus
