Graduate Student Mentor - Widnes

Are you a recent graduate with experience working with children or adults, and have a desire to find a full‑time Graduate Student Mentor role in Widnes for the remainder of the academic year?


A superb sixth form college in the Widnes area is eager to add an academically strong, naturally outgoing and understanding Graduate Support Mentor to their learning support department in a full‑time role for the remainder of the academic year.


In this role as a Graduate Student Mentor, the successful candidate will be required to provide individual and small group support to college students whilst monitoring their all‑round progression at the college. The role is a full‑time position until the end of the academic year, with the option to continue permanently in September 2026.


Role Information


  • Providing 1:1 & small group support to college students

  • Focusing on academic, social and emotional development of students

  • Utilising college curriculum to structure support sessions

  • Monday to Friday role – November 2025 to July 2026

  • Working hours: 08.30am – 15.30pm

  • Paid £100 per day during term time only


Applicant Requirements


  • Minimum 2:2 UK based degree

  • Strong academic background

  • Prior experience working with children or adults

  • Naturally outgoing and engaging individual

  • Good organisation and communication skills
