Actual Annual Salary: £21,688 - £23,274

Start date: As soon as possible

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays 8am to 4pm, term time only (42-week contract)

Aston Education is looking for a dynamic Graduate Learning Support Assistant (LSA)to join this Ofsted Good 11-18 mainstream secondary school in Lewisham, Southeast London.

They are looking for an LSA to work closely with students who require additional support to reach their full potential. Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive and inclusive learning environment while providing in class, one‑on‑one or small group support to students with SEND.

You will assist with classroom activities, monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with other professionals such as the SENCO, teachers and the SEND team.

This role would suit either those thinking of a career in teaching or someone who just enjoys working with young people.

Qualifications & Experience required include:
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Degree 2:2 or above
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with children or young people with special needs (SEN)
