Graduate Financial Accountant

We are looking for a Graduate Financial Accountant to join our London office on a full-time basis with hybrid working.

As a Graduate Financial Accountant, you will join our Finance team and support the preparation of financial statements, regulatory submissions, and internal reporting. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to the full financial accounting cycle within a dynamic insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Support the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers
  • Help ensure compliance with Lloyd\'s and FCA regulatory requirements
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure accurate financial data
What We're Looking For
  • A recent graduate (or final-year student) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a numerate discipline
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with accounting systems is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in financial reporting and the insurance industry
  • Commitment to pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA)
