Graduate Opportunity in Morgan Stanley Finance Division

We’re seeking someone to join our Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance (RRQA) team as an Analyst in the Finance Division’s Risk and Assurance (FinRiA) group to support with performing oversight, governance and execution of the Firm's operational risk programs and objectives.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is a Director within our Risk, Assurance, Governance & Control job family which provides oversight and monitoring of operational risk or third party/outsourcing for the global Finance division, validation and testing of financial and regulatory reports and reinforcement of regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.

What you'll do in the role:
  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm.
  • Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects.
  • Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work.
  • Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards.
  • Perform validation testing activities, including: process, control and substantive testing from data source to final reporting.
  • Problem solving and identifying root cause of data anomalies or other deficiencies in processes and controls.
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting of progress to management.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities.
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes.
  • Critical thinking, initiative, and an inquisitive nature to validate whether processes and controls are operating as intended.
  • Strong analytical skills to organise, interrogate and present data in a meaningful way; attention to detail; clear documentation of results.
  • Strong written communication and oral skills, including the ability to support on stakeholder walkthroughs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in some related topic, for example, Business, Accounts, Maths, Finance.
