A leading environmental management company in Manchester is seeking a Graduate Environmental Advisor to support the Section HSEQ Manager. You will advise the Operational Team on compliance issues and help implement environmental policies. The role requires a degree in a relevant Environmental discipline and excellent organisational and communication skills. Previous experience is preferred. Description

Our Role

As an Environmental Advisor, you will be supporting the Section HSEQ Manager in ensuring all environmental, consents and sustainability matters, are implemented effectively as set out within the frameworks HSEQ Management Plan.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to be part of the HSEQ Team, working as an integrated member of the whole Compliance Team, you will advise and provide guidance to the Operational Team on relevant issues and concerns, helping to facilitate construction in a compliant manner

We are looking for someone to assist with the monitoring, production and implementation of permits and consents where required

We are looking for someone to implement environmental construction compliance policy procedures; assisting with regular reporting and attending sites to ensure that controls are being implemented through an auditing process

You will be working on the Cadent Gas Construction Management Organisation (CMO), helping to deliver both gas main replacement (MRP) works and non-mains

We are looking for someone to update on progress and improvements with the Annual Work Stack Plan, whilst maintaining our legal register and legislative changes, specifically with regards to environmental aspects replacement (NMRP) works, while protecting the environment from harm.

Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience in an in Engineering Environmental role preferred but not essential

Excellent Organisation and Communication and presenter skills

Good computer skills at Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Teams Tools

Understand Data and act upon non-compliant issues

Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant Environmental discipline

Affiliate / Graduate IEMA Membership preferred or to be gained within 12 months

Able to liaise with client and customer stakeholders - both internal and external

Strong written and verbal communication and people skills

Full driving licence
