Overview

Graduate Engineer (Mechanical or Mechatronics) – Greater Manchester (South).

We are partnering with a pioneering company at the forefront of renewable energy innovation. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation and work on ground-breaking solutions in lowering carbon emissions. You will be learning directly from the Engineering Director, who is also the Principal Engineer. Opportunities like this are very rare. The team is focused on reducing carbon emissions through smarter, greener technologies.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to real-world engineering challenges, from design and prototyping through to testing and deployment of our cutting-edge products. You will work alongside the Engineering Director and gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the design and development of mechanical/mechatronic components and systems for renewable energy technologies.
  • Producing CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Assisting in prototyping, assembly, and product testing.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, software, and manufacturing).
  • Contributing to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and product optimisation.
About You
  • Recently graduated (or soon to graduate) with a degree or masters degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering; 1st class preferred.
  • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar).
  • Good understanding of materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability is highly desirable.
