Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Primary School | September Start

Location: Kennington, Lambeth - Inner London
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–15:30pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week
Start Date: September 2025
School Type: Inclusive Primary School with strong Early Years provision

Who We’re Looking For

To thrive as a Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant, you must have:

  • A degree in Early Years, Childhood Studies, Education, or another relevant subject (essential under new EYFS legislation)
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children in their learning and development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build nurturing relationships
  • An empathetic, caring and resilient nature
  • An interest in progressing into teacher training or Early Years specialism in the future
  • Some experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the learning and development of children in Nursery and Reception
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support in areas such as phonics, early writing and numeracy
  • Provide empathetic care and help children build confidence and independence
  • Prepare engaging resources and assist with creative, play-based learning activities
  • Support with classroom routines, organisation, and behaviour management
