Overview

Graduate Design Project Engineer

We are working with a well-established organisation who have been trading for over 35 years and they specialise end-to-end service covers everything from one-off bespoke tools to life saving medical machinery. We are now looking for an experienced Graduate Design Project Engineer to join this fast moving company in Lancashire.

Responsibilities
  • Support design/engineering activities in an office and production environment.
  • Produce quality documentation such as Quality Plans & LTQR packs.
  • Develop timing plans/project programs to outline key dates & critical activities, working closely with the team to maintain an achievable delivery date.
  • Work with engineering drawings and interpret customer specifications to inform decisions with technical information.
  • Apply engineering principles to reach quality solutions; problem solve both as part of a team and individually.
  • Learn and manage multiple project deliverables; travel for site surveys and installation support as required.
  • Hold a degree in an Engineering Discipline.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 1 year of industry experience is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding/experience working within a design/engineering office and a production environment.
  • Experience producing quality documentation such as Quality Plans & LTQR packs.
  • Experience producing timing plans/project programs and coordinating with the team to meet delivery dates.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and make decisions with technical information.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to reach quality solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both in a team and individual setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple project deliverables and learn quickly.
  • Willing to travel for site surveys and installation support when required.
  • Must have a degree in an Engineering Discipline.
Working hours

Monday - Thursday 7.30 - 4pm and Friday 7.30 - 1pm.
