A children's educational support organization in Ilford is seeking a qualified individual to mentor and inspire students with SEMH needs. You will contribute to their learning and wellbeing and work with a safeguarding-focused team. Ideal candidates should hold a degree in psychology, criminology, or creative arts, and possess a valid DBS check or be willing to apply for one. This role offers 32 hours per week with competitive pay between £14-£15 per hour, and a commitment to safeguarding is essential.
Here at Blue Skies Education we are working in partnership with a school that offers education provisions to CYPs (children and young people) with SEMH profiles. The CYPs in this provision do not attend mainstream school as they present behaviours that challenge and require additional support and care in their school life that cannot be facilitated in a mainstream setting. Qualifications, skills and relevant experience needed for this role are detailed below.
The role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that the successful applicant must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service. This position may close earlier than the closing date if a suitable candidate is found, so please apply ASAP to avoid disappointment.
