A UK-based educational institute is seeking a Graduate Assistant Teacher in Music to support its Music Department. Dauntsey's School wishes to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic, and committed university graduate who is looking to develop their music career and explore a possible future in music education.
As a Graduate Assistant Teacher of Music, you will be required to have a genuine interest in music education and performance at all levels. You should demonstrate the necessary skills to contribute to the life of the Music Department and ideally be a first‑rate pianist and accompanist. You should also have the skills to assist pupils with composition, music technology, aural skills, sight‑singing, and theory.
Accommodation will be provided, as the successful candidate will also assist in a boarding house.
This position is designed to allow graduates who might be considering a teaching career to experience life in a boarding school as fully as possible. Previous GATs have gone on to positions in education both at Dauntsey's and at other schools.
