A regional health organization based in Kendal is seeking a General Practitioner for an extended role in Child & Adolescent Mental Health. This part-time position (3 days a week) involves working with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for young people facing mental health challenges. Applicants must hold an MBBS or equivalent and possess full GMC registration. The salary ranges from £76,038 to £114,743 per annum, offering an opportunity to develop specialist skills in a supportive environment.

General Practitioner with Extended Role Pain Child and Adolescent Mental Health (3 days)
We are excited to launch the recruitment for a GP with Extended Role in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to work with the team based at Kinta Annex, Kendal. This role would be 3 days per week and offered as a substantive contract.
This a great opportunity to develop your skills in supporting a community based CAMHs team to deliver safe and effective care for young people aged (5rs-18yrs) with mental health difficulties and their families.
This new role offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills in assessment, diagnosis, risk assessment and treatment, working closely with the consultant psychiatrist within our team. You will also work alongside a full CAMHs multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be expected to make between 8 - 10 contacts per week (WTE) which includes a mix of new and open cases and will also be available at short notice to provide consultation and advice to other team members.
We envisage your GP skills will equip you well to support with prescribing and monitoring response to medication, transition planning, safeguarding and liaison with secondary and primary care.
In addition, we will allocate specific PAs (sessions) for developing primary integration work with a view to supporting vertical integration with primary care. This is in line with our trusts vision for Neighbourhood care provision, which also aligns with our local ICB aims and consistent with the NHS ten-year plan.
You will be supported to achieve competencies relevant to the GP with extend role as defined by the Royal College of General Practitioners, including developing an understanding of relevant diagnostic classification systems, and an understanding of national and international treatment guidelines relating to Children and Young people.
