Job summary

A multinational engineering company is seeking a Goods Inwards Operator in Greenwich, London. You will manage incoming goods to ensure they are receipted and available for storage and production promptly. Ideal candidates will have experience with SAP and exhibit good communication and computer skills. This role operates Monday through Thursday with flexible working hours. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Pay ranges from £10.00 to £11.22 per hour, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems is essential.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in standard computer packages.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipting of all incoming goods into the bonded warehouse.
  • Ensure materials are available for storage and kitting in a timely manner.
  • Conduct cycle counts of stock and inventory.
  • Control traceability and shelf life issues for key materials.
  • Interact with material controllers and production staff.
  • Work towards team KPIs for processes and key materials.
  • Perform transactions on SAP.

Goods Inwards Operator

Friday 07:30 - 15:45

An opportunity has arisen within the materials department of a multinational engineering company for an experienced Goods-Inwards Operator.

As a Goods-Inwards Operator, you will be managing the receipting of all incoming goods into the bonded warehouse, specifically utilising in-house computer systems for all aspects of inventory control.

Goods will be used for Production, so a meticulous approach is required, to ensure site plans and requirements are met.

The successful candidate will ideally have SAP (WM, MM) experience, or similar systems based knowledge of the structural flow of processing an order through to production - however training can and will be provided for the successful applicant.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring materials are receipted and available for storage and kitting, for production in an orderly and timely way.
  • Assisting in conducting cycle counts of stock and inventory on site in the stores area.
  • Controlling traceability and shelf life issues for key materials.
  • Interacting with material controllers and production staff on daily needs and issues.
  • Working to team KPI's to control processes and key materials.
  • General picking and packing duties.
  • Undertaking transactions on SAP.
Qualifications
  • Must have SAP or simpler system experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the capability of working in a pressurised, deadline-driven environment.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, are required.
  • Computer literacy, with confidence in the use of standard computer packages, will need to be demonstrated.
