A leading UK retail firm is seeking a Goods In Manager to oversee warehouse operations. The role involves managing incoming stock flow and leading a dedicated team while ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in logistics, excellent organisational skills, and strong leadership abilities. Enjoy a competitive salary and numerous career growth opportunities in this thriving environment.
My client is offering you the chance to take the lead on warehouse operations within the UK's largest retail groups – a business that has more than doubled its turnover from £187 million to over £400 million in just six years. This is your opportunity to build a rewarding career with a rapidly expanding retail business that genuinely invests in its people and creates real pathways for career growth, all while enjoying the work‑life balance of Monday to Friday working hours.
As a Goods In Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of all incoming stock, from seasonal plants to premium garden furniture. You'll lead and motivate a dedicated warehouse team, overseeing the entire goods‑in process with precision and efficiency. This role gives you the chance to use your organisational skills and attention to detail daily – managing deliveries, prioritising stock processing with department managers, handling returns and credits, and maintaining a clean, secure, and well‑organised warehouse environment. You'll troubleshoot stock issues, implement solutions to prevent future errors, and uphold the highest health and safety standards while working closely with the wider management team to ensure seamless operational flow across the centre.
This Goods In Manager position would suit someone with proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or goods‑in management, ideally within a retail environment. Your excellent organisational abilities, meticulous approach to accuracy, and strong communication skills will be highly valued. If you're proactive, adaptable, and thrive in a fast‑paced, seasonal retail setting where you can lead and develop a team effectively, this role offers the perfect blend of hands‑on management and strategic thinking.
My client is part of the UK's most successful Garden Centre Group, a business that has been led with vision and passion since 1999 and is renowned for exceptional staff retention and empowering people to reach their full potential. With 52 centres across the UK and a focus on delivering inspirational retailing to discerning customers, they're constantly evolving and expanding – and they want you to grow with them.
If you're ready to step into this exciting Goods In Manager opportunity and be part of something truly special, Select Recruitment would love to hear from you. Apply today and take the next step in your logistics and management career.
