Job summary

A leading global education organization is seeking a qualified tax professional to lead VAT and indirect tax compliance, minimizing risks while providing expert guidance. This role involves collaboration across various teams to ensure tax legislation compliance, process improvements, and training of staff on tax issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UK tax compliance, especially in a complex organization, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Excel. This is an on-site position based in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant and / or tax advisor with significant relevant post qualification experience in UK tax compliance and advisory.
• Demonstrable experience of identifying and implementing system and process improvements.
• Proactive and self-motivated individual with commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the preparation and submissions of tax reporting and payment requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to facilitate continuous improvement of systems.
• Provide support and guidance on tax aspects of business activities.
• Monitor compliance associated with overseas activities.
• Engage in system development and improvements.
