At Citi, involvement of our leadership team at forums such as Davos and at our proprietary strategic client events and conferences are pivotal in fostering strong client relationships and elevating the Citi brand across our global stakeholders. These impactful engagements range from high-profile, cross-business global forums to specialized regional events, all meticulously designed to represent Citi's commitment to client connectivity and brand excellence.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Global Event Manager to join our strategic forum team. This role focuses on Citi's leadership presence at strategic forums and strengthening senior management presence at events and conferences more generally. The aim is to provide consistent, enhanced client experiences with focused involvement from Citi's leadership team and to establish and report on more stringent Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and success metrics. These initiatives are crucial for generating new business opportunities, providing greater strategic alignment, and ensuring robust controls across all our engagements.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across all business lines, to positively influence Citi's senior leadership presence and strategic client connectivity at key strategic events and drive excellence in our top level interactions with our most valuable clients.

Responsibilities
  • Own and organise bilateral meetings across all strategic forums and key events, including:
    • Client prioritisation and outreach for senior management attendees
    • Acting as the liaison across all business lines
    • Coordination of client lists, briefing documents and biographies
    • On-site point of contact for client meetings
    • Ensuring compliance to all Citi meeting policies as it relates to gifts & entertainment
  • Ensuring post event client meeting tracking in relevant system for each business, including:
    • All client meetings entered onto business CRM calendar (ie, Velocity, Toolbox, etc) for monitoring of high-profile events
    • All client attendees are entered onto Velocity calendar for correct MiFID invoicing (Markets requirement)
    • Coordination with various teams to collate attendee details
  • Responsible for measurement, reporting and monitoring of key client activities and meetings
    • Track meetings on Marketing tracker, CRM, Velocity, etc.
    • Coordination of monthly reviews and reporting
    • Partner with Finance to evaluate event effectiveness through evaluation of key performance indicators
  • Owner of travel calendar and meetings for Executive Management Team and Business Heads as necessary
    • Coordination of internal and external/client meetings when traveling, including strategic forums and Citi hosted events
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Education
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
