About the role

Are you a subject matter expert in environmental management looking to make a global impact?

At Malvern Panalytical, we’re seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Global Environmental Specialist to provide expert leadership and guidance across our international operations. Reporting directly to the Global Health, Safety and Environment Director, you’ll work closely with both regional teams and the wider global HSE function to develop and improve our safety management in this area.

In this influential role, you’ll support the implementation of key initiatives that ensure compliance, enable operational excellence, and align with our broader business objectives. You’ll work hands‑on with operational teams at all our global locations, advising on best practices and helping shape a culture of continuous improvement.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be adapting to a wide range of internal customer needs and varied operational environments across our global footprint.

What you will bring to the role
  • Act as a Global Subject Matter Expert on environmental legislation, providing operational teams with expert guidance and technical support to ensure best‑in‑class practices.
  • Maintain Licensing & Regulatory Compliance by coordinating with the wider HSE team and local management to meet all legal and governmental requirements across regions.
  • Deliver the Global HSE Strategy in alignment with business goals, working with regional teams to embed a strong safety and environmental culture.
  • Lead HSE Audits and Standards Compliance, ensuring ISO certifications are upheld where applicable, and robust management systems are in place where they are not.
About you
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management or a related scientific or technical field, providing a strong foundation for expert‑level decision‑making.
  • 10+ years of hands‑on experience within medium to high‑risk environments, ideally across multiple sites or regions.
  • A solid understanding of regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is a strong plus in our global setting.
  • A proven ability to influence and elevate safety culture across complex, multisite or international organisations.
  • Monitor Performance & Lead Initiatives by managing KPIs, reporting systems, and driving global HSE improvement projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Why you should join us
  • Be a part of an ambitious, fast‑growing, international company with a friendly and inclusive culture.
  • Drive growth within a leading global organisation whose purpose is to work with our customers, to make the world a better place.
  • Be a key member of our team in our amazing offices.
  • Gym discounts.
  • Volunteering days and much more.
