Qualifications

  • Must possess a strong foundation in clinical skills and be registered with GMC.
  • At least MRCP or equivalent qualifications are necessary.
  • Required to demonstrate readiness for specialty training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in elderly patient care including inpatient management.
  • Contribute to clinical audit development and implementation.
  • Participate in teaching and appraisal of junior medical colleagues.

Skills

Full registration with the General Medical Council
MRCP or equivalent
Ability to offer expert clinical opinion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team

Education

Entry onto the Specialist Register
4 years at SpR level or equivalent
