Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated geoscientist, with GIS skills preferably (also full training given) to manage the compilation and maintenance of a regional oil, gas and energy activity database.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oil, gas, energy and geology data research for a given region
• Data conditioning, compilation and ingestion
• Daily reporting on E&P and energy activity
• Monthly reporting on E&P and energy activity
• Continuous updates to the NVentures GIS and corporate databases
• Creating regular activity maps, image layers and geological summary maps
• Contribute to the global reporting coverage with the NVentures team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred experience in SQL, GIS or similar technical environments.
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, AGOL, QGIS) and data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions.
• An eye for detail and concern for accuracy and database completeness
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritise tasks efficiently.
