Geography Teacher
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: Paid to scale (PAYE)

Protocol Education is proud to be working with a vibrant and growing secondary school in Leeds, as they seek to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Humanities department in a school on an exciting journey of growth and development.

About the Role:
You’ll be joining a dynamic and forward-thinking Humanities team committed to academic excellence and student success. Geography is a popular subject at this school, with strong uptake at KS4 and KS5. The department has spent significant time refining its curriculum and offers a range of enrichment opportunities for students.

You’ll work alongside two experienced Geography teachers, and will have access to the school’s well-established ECT support programme if applicable. While this is a Geography position, some teaching outside of the subject may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons (Note: unqualified teachers are not expected to plan)

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Implement innovative and inclusive teaching strategies

  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and student support

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A collaborative, positive approach to teaching

  • ECTs and subject specialists are warmly encouraged to apply

The official start is September 2025.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
