About the Role:
You’ll be joining a dynamic and forward-thinking Humanities team committed to academic excellence and student success. Geography is a popular subject at this school, with strong uptake at KS4 and KS5. The department has spent significant time refining its curriculum and offers a range of enrichment opportunities for students.
You’ll work alongside two experienced Geography teachers, and will have access to the school’s well-established ECT support programme if applicable. While this is a Geography position, some teaching outside of the subject may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons (Note: unqualified teachers are not expected to plan)
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Implement innovative and inclusive teaching strategies
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and student support
Who We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A collaborative, positive approach to teaching
ECTs and subject specialists are warmly encouraged to apply
