Geo-environmental Engineer Position

As part of my client’s ongoing expansion and confirmed future workload, they are looking to recruit a permanent Geo-environmental Engineer to support the technical delivery of remediation and enabling projects across the UK. The initial project is a 12-month assignment in Manchester, with the potential to extend to a 2-year contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Project Manager in site investigations
  • Collecting, managing, and interpreting data
  • Assisting with report writing for regulator sign-off of remediation strategies
Requirements
  • Ideally 5 years of post-graduate experience in a related discipline, with significant on-site experience
  • Knowledge of soil description, sampling, remedial approaches for soil and groundwater, and earthworks practices (training provided)
  • Geotechnical experience is advantageous
  • Valid driving license is essential due to travel requirements
  • Willingness to work away from home when required, with full subsistence covered
  • SSSTS / SMSTS and First Aid tickets are beneficial for site supervision and management
Rewards and Benefits

The salary range is approximately £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability. The package includes additional benefits typical of a large, successful company.
