A leading environmental consultancy in the UK is seeking a Geo-Environmental Consultant to support various projects and enhance their business area. Responsibilities include conducting site investigations, supervising ground work, and preparing various reports. The ideal candidate should have a degree in a relevant field, experience in geo-environmental interpretation, and knowledge of relevant UK regulations. Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of equipment and specifications in ground investigation.
  • Experience producing interpretative reports based on factual data.
  • Knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out site walkovers and prepare Phase I Desk Studies.
  • Supervise ground investigations, including various sampling methods.
  • Log samples to BS5930 standards and prepare engineers’ logs.
  • Conduct gas and groundwater monitoring.

Skills

Ground investigation expertise
Health, Safety and Environmental legislation knowledge
Report writing (geotechnical and geo-environmental)

Education

Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Civil Engineering
