Job description

We are seeking a Geo‑Environmental Consultant to join our team. The role requires around 60% of your time site based (typically around London and the South East but occasionally further afield nationally and internationally) and 40% office based, although this may vary as workload dictates.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, procurement, supervision and management of geotechnical and geo‑environmental ground investigations.
  • Undertake desk‑top study assessments.
  • Accurately collect, analyse and interpret site data.
  • Produce detailed reports.
  • Undertake ground gas and groundwater monitoring works and assessment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Approximately 3‑5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in geology, engineering geology, environmental science or a related subject.
  • Strong analytical, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Full Driving Licence (manual).
  • Relevant site works accreditations/qualifications are an advantage (e.g. SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, 1st aid).
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental management.
  • Experience producing Phase 1 screening reports and Phase 2 interpretative reports including qualitative and generic quantitative risk assessments.
  • Understanding of governing standards/guidance for investigation and remediation of contaminated land.
Location

Leicester / Manchester / Leeds / London with national and occasional international site visits.
