General Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School - Newham

Salary: Daily pay rate 100 + paid weekly

Contract: Full-time, long-term role with high temp-perm likelihood

Remedy Education are working with a welcoming and nurturing Primary School in Newham. We are looking for a passionate general Teaching Assistant to support a range of children in Ks2 in a full class, 1-1 and small intervention basis.

What will you be doing:
  • Aid the class teacher in controlling classroom behaviour and ensuring that pupils remain on task
  • Assist the class teacher in planning engaging lessons and activities and implementing these into small-group and 1-1 support
  • Promote inclusion and support pupils with individual needs/capabilities and additional needs
  • Support pupils in with SATS preparation and in their upcoming transition from primary to secondary education
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people in a school, sports, care, residential support, youth work, mental health, or community setting
  • Must possess good literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
