General Operative

Monday to Friday

£12.88 per hour

CRC Recruitment is looking for a General Operative to join our client based in Daventry.

Your role will be to support the manufacture of automotive components, material handling, and delivery of components. You will be responsible for the quality of work undertaken and for reporting non-conformities as and when they occur. Demonstrate a flexible approach and willingness to work within various areas of the shopfloor.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00 and Friday 07:00-12:00pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Main duties include deburring of metal components, washing of components, assembly of components, pressure testing using their client approved apparatus, part marking, and honing of parts
  • Inspecting finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications
  • Loading and unloading of metal, material and parts
  • Other duties would include general cleaning, packing and counting of parts
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
  • Ensure health and safety compliance at all times.
  • Ensure accurate completion of paperwork in line with ISO9001 requirements.
  • Work as part of a strong team, willing to fulfil other tasks and additional duties when requested.
Skills & Experience
  • Background working in an environment where attention to detail is important
  • Automotive or other batch control industry experience
  • Prior experience using measuring equipment
  • Engineering background (preferred)
  • Strong reading, numerical and communication skills
  • Must be willing to work in other sections on occasion to facilitate the company needs
  • Must be happy to be on your feet for a long period of time as this is an essential requirement
