Job description

Great opportunity to work as a General Operative for one of the UK's leading supermarket meat production sites. Staffline is recruiting for a General Operative to work in Spalding.

This is a full-time ongoing role. You must have your own transport to get to and from the site.

Pay Rate:

• Starting wage: £12.21 per hour
• Higher rates may be offered depending on experience

Departments and Shifts Available

Please note: Finish times vary depending on production demand. A typical shift can range from 6 to 10 hours.

• Beef Boning Department
  • Monday to Friday, starting at 06:15 until finish
  • Duties include lifting, cutting, and working with machinery
  • Experience is beneficial, but training will be provided if required
• Pork Boning Department
  • Monday to Friday, starting at 06:15 until finish
  • Duties include lifting, cutting, working with machinery
  • Experience is beneficial, but training will be provided if required
• Bacon Curing Department
  • Monday to Friday, rotating shifts:
    • Week 1: 06:00 until finish
    • Week 2: 14:00 until finish
  • Duties include lifting and operating machinery
  • Experience is beneficial, but training will be provided if required
  • This is a physically demanding role

Your Time at Work

As a General Operative, your role may include:

• Handling and preparing meat products
• Operating machinery and equipment
• Working as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment
• Manual handling, including lifting of up to 20kg
• Following hygiene and safety procedures at all times

This role involves working in chilled environments and standing for extended periods.

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and hard-working, with a good understanding of basic English and the ability to thrive in a physically demanding role.

You need to be fit to carry out manual handling tasks, demonstrate excellent time management, and maintain a flexible approach to working hours.

While previous experience as a Production Operative, Warehouse Worker, or Factory Operative is desirable, it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
