Overview

We are seeking a General Manager to lead and direct the operations of this established business and to deliver continuous improvement in customer service, safety, service delivery, and resource utilisation. This role involves developing and implementing policies to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to safety standards, as well as expanding relationships with external stakeholders to ensure the success of the organisation. You will be based on the Isle of Wight so will need to be a resident or be willing to relocate to this beautiful part of the UK.

  • Direct Reports: Production, Logistics, Customer Services, Engineering, Services
Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to the company's vision, values, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policy, national legislative requirements, and the safety and wellbeing of the team.
  • Lead and direct all plant staff and facilities to achieve Safety, Quality, and Performance targets.
  • Develop and implement systems for employee involvement and development.
  • Lead the development and delivery of performance improvement plans to meet budgets and company performance targets.
  • Establish and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders to maintain and improve the company's image and commercial position.
  • Apply strategic planning to align site objectives with company strategic goals.
  • Develop a budget that meets business needs and ensures efficient resource use.
  • Create and implement systems to safeguard the company's revenue and address any revenue loss.
  • Lead the LEAN agenda for continuous improvement of site operations.
  • Ensure safe working practices to meet statutory Health & Safety requirements.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
