Overview

General Ledger Accounting Manager
Glasgow (Hybrid)
Salary up to £60,000 (DOE)

Lusona Consultancy are partnering with our global client to source suitable applicants for the role of the General Ledger Accounting Manager. This is an excellent time to join a dynamic and global environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, managing month-end close processes, and maintaining strong internal controls, alongside leading a small team. You will also play a key role in audit preparation, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing month-end close activities across multiple entities.
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Preparing audit schedules and liaising with internal and external auditors.
  • Leading and developing a team of accountants.
  • Overseeing fixed assets, intercompany and journals across the team.
  • Driving automation and standardisation of accounting processes.
Qualifications

Applicants will ideally be a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) with previous experience of supporting junior members or leading a team of accountants. You will have a strong understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting, hence a previous background within audit would be beneficial. You will also have strong attention to detail, as well as excellent communication skills to lead a team accordingly.
