General Cargo Coordinator

Portsmouth
£32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Full-time | Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week

TeamJobs is working with a well-established logistics company in Portsmouth who are looking for an experienced General Cargo Coordinator to join their busy operations team.

Responsibilities

A typical day as a General Cargo Coordinator will include:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for customers, hauliers, and internal teams.
  • Planning and coordinating cargo arriving and leaving the terminal.
  • Managing customs processes for imports, exports, and the External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF).
  • Maintaining accurate data on Warehouse Management and Customer Systems.
  • Supporting warehouse operations with documentation, labelling, and stock control.
  • Delivering a high level of customer service and communication at all times.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Shipping, Logistics, Distribution or Warehousing
  • Knowledge of customs procedures and stock control
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and data systems)
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Forklift licence and driving licence (preferred - training can be provided)
