Job Title: Gas Service Engineer

Location: Guernsey

Salary: £45 000 - £48 000 + (call out and Emergency rate) + Van + Fuel Card

Are you a hands-on GAS professional with a passion for customer service and technical excellence? We are looking for a Gas Service Engineer to join a high-performing energy operations team based in Guernsey.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient servicing, installation, and maintenance of domestic gas appliances—including fires, cookers, burners, boilers, central heating—while supporting a culture that values safety, collaboration, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain gas appliances (fires, cookers, burners, boilers, central heating, etc)
• Respond to reported gas emergencies as a first responder
• Carry out diagnostics and fault finding across a range of domestic appliances
• Support gas leak detection, repair, and maintenance alongside network teams
• Deliver excellent customer care during service visits and comfort calls
• Supervise and support apprentices where needed
• Maintain compliance with gas industry regulations and safety protocols
• Record and report work accurately (paper and digital formats)

Experience Required

• Experience working with a wide range of gas appliances, especially fires, cookers, and burners
• Domestic gas qualifications or Commercial Gas qualifications
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• A customer-first mindset with clear communication
• A strong sense of responsibility and attention to safety
