Job summary

A sustainable clothing company in Brighton is seeking a motivated Garment Technologist Admin Assistant to track garment samples and ensure compliance with sustainability standards. The role offers excellent training, is permanent, and requires strong organizational skills and detail orientation. Candidates should have admin experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. This is a part-time role (30 hours per week) with a salary of £24,400 per annum.

Job description
Overview

We are looking for a motivated, detailed-oriented Garment Technologist Admin Assistant. This position offers excellent training and development opportunities making it ideal for somebody with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for sustainable clothing.

What you'll be doing
  • Track, record and chase fit/production samples from suppliers
  • Measure, check and record fit/sealing samples to ensure accuracy throughout fitting
  • Attend critical path meetings to update Tech and Buying teams of any changes to sample deliveries
  • Assist technologists with the management of samples, collating and listing ready for fit meetings
  • Liaise with internal teams and overseas global supply chains
  • Support the department and internal teams to ensure the product range is compliant with textiles & packaging legislation and sustainability standards
  • Management of product certifications such as GOTS, GRS, OCS, etc. Tracking Transaction certificates with suppliers and updating documentation
  • EPR packaging labelling and textile responsibilities within the role, also covering DPP and the relevant platform used
  • Contributing to the update of the yearly impact report
What you need
  • Previous admin experience would be advantageous
  • Good data management skills
  • Strong organisational skills, methodical with great attention to detail while performing tasks
  • Time management skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks given
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel and Google sheets, PIM experience advantageous
  • Collaborative team player, with a can-do attitude
